Dunes on Fire

Dunes on Fire

This image from the Great Sand Dunes National Park is a few years old, but my post-processing skills have come a long way since the first time I processed this one…

Gray Copper Gulch 2009

Gray Copper Gulch 2009

Amanda and I spent the last weekend camping in Gray Copper Gulch, which reminded me of my visit there in 2009. I decided to go back and reprocess a few of those older photos including this one. This was one of my favorite photos from that day and I was lucky enough to have some nice clouds in the sky on that visit.

The Doll’s House

The Doll's House

This is a photo I took a few years back that I decided to reprocess recently. I never really liked the colors of this photo but I did like the light, so I decided to convert it to black and white and I really like it much better now. It’s an amazing ruin and I really need to get back and take some new photos of it 🙂

Reprocess: La Sal Sunrise

La Sal Sunrise

After our last night camping at Standing Rock in The Maze District of Canyonlands this past spring, we were treated to another excellent sunrise over the distant La Sal Mountains.

The 'Reprocess' series features photos that I have gone back to and spent some more time processing. Since I take so many photos on my adventures, I'm usually in a hurry to get them uploaded for the trip reports and not all of the photos are processed to their full potential. Plus, I am continually working on improving my Photoshop skills and techniques.

Reprocess: Light on the Reef

Light on the Reef

One of my favorite drives in Utah is the dirt road south of I-70 along the San Rafael Reef. This morning I was on my way to Three Fingers Canyon when I was treated to this view of the Reef lit up by the early morning sunlight.
