Waiting for Warmer Weather
Part of my birthday present to myself this year arrived yesterday. I was originally going to wait a few more months to buy an inflatable kayak, but I came across a great deal on the boat I wanted that I couldn’t pass up.
Now I just need to wait for the temperatures and water levels to rise so I can get out on the rivers! It should be another great year of exploring!

this past summer my son and i used an inflatable 2 man kayak to go in to the valdez glacier in alaska. the trip was spectacular. the kayak was most uncomfortable because the back of the seat slumped backwards and provided no back support. i live in michigan and was seriously thinking of an inflatable until the trip last summer. i would like to know how you like yours.
also, is there a way that i can receive an email announcement every time you update your blog. just found you today. thank you, blogging is work. you inspire me to travel again to moab.
one more request. could you give some kind of description of the roads and two tracks you use, i have a 4×4 with a 9 inch clearance. i’m 76 and did the shaffer road last spring with no difficulty.
again thanks, i’ll be a faithful reader.

Richard- I have used this exact inflatable kayak a few times in the past. I have rented one and borrowed on from a friend, so I know I will like it. I didn’t have any issues with back support, but I don’t seem to put much weight against the back either.
I don’t believe there is a way to get emails sent when I make a new post, but I will look into it and see if it is possible to add the function.
Which roads and two tracks are you interested in? I drive a lot of them and they are all different.
