The following GPS files are divided up by geographical region and provided in both GPX and KML (Google Earth) formats. I do not post any tracks that I have not personally driven and recorded, so that I can be sure they are as accurate as possible. So I was comparing both of our behind the rocks trail and noticed that yours is shorter than mine, and now I wonder if I continued on to another trail? The track above is only the Behind the Rocks Road….not the trail. I actually have not driven the full Behind the Rocks Trail yet. Once I do, I will add that track here, too.

Great collection of tracks! When I ride my dualsport motorcycle in AZ,CO or UT I use Charles Well’s Jeep books. I’ve made transparent overlay maps from routes and tracks for my Garmin GPS and it’s much better than using actual tracklogs. I’d like to convert your tracks to a map and wondered if you’d be prepared to e-mail me your master file with them all in? I started combining the tracks into one file manually but it’s obviously tedious. I’d give you the finished maps.

Excellent job!! My friends and I explore all of the same areas every Spring and Fall. Your tracks are going be very helpful.
I’ll compare notes and see if I can share any with you that I’ve tracked that you don’t have. If I find any I’ll let you know.
Only thing I can think of that will improve this is if we can take a few photos of the trails and post them either here or maybe on panaramio. Either way, being able to see some of the obstacles/general road appearance before getting there would be helpful.

Thanks for your feedback. As far as the additional info about each trail goes, my ultimate goal is to get a page up about most of the trails with more detailed information about each. I started out by only posting up trails with this page ready to go, but I just could not keep up. Since I always had requests for different GPS tracks, I figured I would just post up the tracks for now, and finish the detailed information pages later. If you notice, there are a few trails on that page where you can click on the name, which will take you to the detailed information, but those are currently in the minority…
It’s hard to keep the information updated when I head out exploring almost every weekend

I can use either a GPX or a Mapsource GDB file. The GDB is a lot smaller making it somewhat better for e-mailing (one of the tracklog files I got from another rider was 20MB in GPX and 2.9MB in GDB). I can do maps for both UT and CO (plus any others you may have but not posted).
Do you have a preference as to how you’d like to see these tracks displayed on the GPS map? I can customize them to any colour(s), either plain, dashed, solid colour, 2-colour with borders, etc.

I’ll be riding my dual sport motorcycle from Blanding to Needles Outpost in a couple of weeks. I was wondering if you could suggest a nice 4WD or 2WD route from Blanding to Needles outpost that wouldn’t require me to obtain a permit? I would like to dabble in Beef Basin is possible.
