After spending all day in Arches on Saturday we decided to head to Canyonlands Island in the Sky district on Sunday before heading home. It was nice to finally see more of this part of Canyonlands, because up until this point, I had only been on the Shafer switchbacks. I’m looking forward to checking out the White Rim trail sometime in 2009 to see even more of this section

Anyways, here’s a couple of photos I took on Sunday.

Just a quick note about the house we are in the process of purchasing. We had our inspection this morning and aside from a few minor things that the current owner is going to take care of, the house is in really good shape

On Saturday, Amanda and I spent our day doing some easy hikes in Arches National Park. While I have been there a number of times before, there are a few famous sights that I have never made it to before. Mostly because there are too many people at those areas during the spring and fall. During the winter, there are a lot less people in the park, so it is a perfect time to check out some of the more popular sights

We started out the day by hiking through Devils Garden and making our way to Landscape Arch.

After spending a bit of time taking photos here, we then headed back and checked out Tunnel Arch.

It’s going to take me a little bit to go through my pictures from this weekend and post up a trip report, so I’ll go ahead and post a few pictures from Arches and Canyonlands National Park

Had a great day in Arches National Park today. Unfortunately, I forgot to bring along a USB cable with me so I don’t have any preview pictures. You’ll just have to wait until I get home tomorrow night

Since we got to everything at Arches we wanted to do today, we have decided to head to Canyonlands Island in the Sky district tomorrow before heading home. Besides the Shafer trail, I have not really spent any time in this section of Canyonlands, so I’m looking forward to it

We got some presents in the mail today, and our cats just couldn’t resist checking them out

Well, I just got word that a house we made an offer on yesterday was accepted today. So we have a contract on our very first house

We are both excited, and I will definitely keep posting updates here on our progress with our first home.
