I was a little disappointed that I didn’t really have any money to go wheeling anywhere this holiday weekend, but then I had a great idea the other night.
Geocaching has been something I have always wanted to try, since it would be a great activity that I could also enjoy when I go four wheeling and exploring. So I decided I’m going to head out and do some local geocaching this weekend and see how it goes.
Should be fun 
It’s surprising with how close I live to Wisconsin, that I have never gone wheeling anywhere in the state yet. Fortunately, that should change next month when I attend CarnageFest. Which will be based out of the McCaslin Mountain Campground.
My plan is to drive up Thursday September 20th after work and make it to the campground. Friday I am planning on checking out the pipeline trail that is near the area. Then on Saturday, I’ll be hitting the McCaslin Mountain trail system. Sunday is up in the air right now, either I’ll be on the McCaslin system again, or I might do a little exploring in the Nicolet National Forest before heading home.

After playing around in the dunes, we headed over to check out the Little Sable Lighthouse and catch the sunset over Lake Michigan.
I found out late last week that Amanda had the weekend off, so we decided to take a last minute trip and head up to Silver Lake on Saturday to go play on the dunes. Here’s some pics

Well, things have got a little slow here, and will probably stay this way for a little bit. Still recovering financially from my trip, so that means no upcoming trips or progress on my Jeeps for a little bit. I have been cleaning the garage and getting ready to start working on my 1992 XJ again. First purchase before I can do that, will be a JD2 Model 3 tube bender 
Also, I have been working on an article for a magazine about my trip. Hopefully that will get finished soon and published. Definitely will keep you updated about that
Less than a week after getting home from my long trip, my friend Zach managed to talk me into heading out to the Badlands with him…..so here’s a few pictures:

It was definitely an experience I will never forget!
Well, after 5206 miles, I am finally home. A day earlier than I planned, but that’s OK, because I’m exhausted and need a day of sleep and recovery before I head back to work on Tuesday.
