Working in the cold and wet snow sucks! Too bad Brian’s Jeep was too tall to fit in my garage.
Nope, not enough room

Guess we will work on it like that……the heater doesn’t work well with the door open

Well, after waking up to the crappy weather this morning, I almost considered not going wheeling today. Thankfully I didn’t, because Joe and I had an awesome time today at The Badlands. The weather cleared up shortly after getting there, and the temp was in the 40’s and pretty nice.
We spent plenty of time on the rocks, which is always good. I also finally made it up Rock Face, which I have been trying for over a year to make!
Here’s some pics.
Rainy weather when we arrived (we had the whole park to ourselves most of the day)

grind. grind.

tires spinning on Rock Face

Something missing?

There it is (yes, I finished Dirty Steve’s Revenge with only one coil and didn’t notice….but neither did Joe!)

Flexed up to reinstall the coil

Joe even got pictures of me finishing the trail without the coil, and neither of us noticed. My Jeep drives pretty good with only one coil

My new control arm angles sure improved the performance….especially at speed.
Overall, I was happy with how the front suspension performed yesterday

Well, I managed to get my rig driveable in time for NYD and met up with Zach and Brian (and a couple others) at the Badlands today to ring in the new year properly.
It was a nice and cold rainy day…..so I didn’t get too many pics. Plus we had a bit of breakage that kept us busy.

My new bumper and axle

Brian

unfortunately Brian’s day ended early when his steering arm sheered off

so his tie rod was moved down so he could get it back to his trailer (though, severly toed in)

then a bit of wheeling

then some more breakage

….and Brian staying warm…….my heater does still work
