I finally got it! I’ve been wanting (needing) a new welder for a while. I got the Millermatic 175. I had originally wanted the 210, but couldn’t justify the extra cost for what I am going to use it for at this point. Maybe in the future….

My Currie LCA mounts showed up today. Cheaper than it would be for me to build my own.

Free parts rock! So does excellent customer service.
When stripping my D30 down, I noticed the Alloy USA seals I bough last year had developed tears on the inner seal allowing grease into the axle tube. so I figured I’d ask them if they had a warranty on them. Well, two days later I have a brand new “updated style” set. I love companies who stand behind their products.

I did a little website work for a JKS vendor, and instead of cash, he paid me back with some parts that I needed for my steering conversion and front axle build. Worked out well for both of us.

i started setting up my Dana 30 gears
fun stuff:

bye bye old bearings

then I made my setup bearings

I cut one of my old bearings apart to use it to press on the new ones

pressing the new inner pinion bearing on

Unfortunately I thought my dad had an inch-lb torque wrench, but it didn’t work out…..so I had to stop for today.
