It’s been quite a while since I bought a new gun. I have wanted a shotgun for a while and finally picked on up today at lunch. I ended up getting the Remington 870 Express Synthetic with the 7-round capacity. I can’t wait to find the time and drive out to the range to break it in 
Just got the call from the Mesa County Sheriff’s office that my Concealed Carry Permit is ready to be picked up. It took longer than I had hoped since I applied for it on November 25, 2008.
Now I have to get the address changed on my permit when I pick it up since I moved during that period of time…
That’s right….I went down to the Mesa County Sheriff’s office this morning and applied for my concealed carry permit. The application process didn’t take very long. However, they told me to expect to wait 14-16 weeks for my permit because the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (the agency that runs the background checks) is backed up with all the recent applications.
I guess I’ll find out just how long it will really take. I’ll post up again when I get it
Completed my Handgun Safety course this evening and got the certificate I need in order to apply for my concealed carry permit. Hoping to apply this next week if I can find the time
Well, I’ve wanted to do this for a while, and I finally just got around to signing up for a Concealed Carry (CCW) class. The class is on November 21st here in Grand Junction.

Since I was unable to head out to Moab this weekend with Jan and Greg from ExpeditionUtah, I took Amanda shooting this morning at the BLM pistol range just north of Grand Junction. She had shot a shotgun once in the past, but never a handgun, so this was new for her. After a short training and instruction session, she was having a good time shooting She also enjoys loading up the magazines using the UpLULA loader

That’s right, I finally had a chance to get my Taurus 24/7 Pro out to the range here in Grand Junction. I put about 200 rounds through it without any problems.
The accuracy was good and it felt very good in my hand. The trigger pull was very nice, too.
So far I am very happy with this handgun. Here’s a few pictures

On another note, the UpLULA Universal Pistol Magazine Loader works great and saves your thumb. I would highly recommend this product.

I obviously couldn’t wait too long after receiving my FOID a few days ago. After a lot of research, I decided my first handgun is going to be the Taurus 24/7 Pro .45ACP. It should be here in a few days. I can’t wait
